Want to make your web page the best it can be? Here are some things I use, which may help you on your way.

Paint Shop Pro

Windows-based graphics software. It's shareware, and much cheaper than similar programs (such as Photoshop). Photoshop filters and plugins can be used. Supports layering, masks, etc., and can save and open many different file types. A very versatile program.

Animation Shop

Windows-based software. Another shareware program from JASC, the company which makes Paint Shop Pro. Use this program to make animated .gif graphics. Has a built-in wizard interface to automate the process. Very handy.

RGB Color Slider (uses JavaScript, and spawns a new window)

Easily choose a background, link, text, or other font color. Results output to a hex code to be inserted into your web page.

Several free CGI scripts, including guestbook, email forms, etc.

Listing of thousands of CGI scripts of all kinds in a variety of programming languages. Scripts are freeware, shareware, etc.

The JavaScript Source

Free JavaScript applets for all kinds of things -- forms, menus, graphics effects, etc. The applets are easy to install, and come with instructions.
